No one may attend any function without being accepted as a member of BIE, or vetted by a member of BIE. We have a private Facebook page, an ongoing Facebook group chat, and frequent events that can be suggested by anyone.Events can be of almost any nature – from hikes, poetry reading, wine tasting, book clubs, to themed parties and summer pool parties.We are all vulnerable and are all sharing a very private part of ourselves.

Co-founded by GLAAD, Bisexual Awareness Week seeks to accelerate acceptance of the bi (pansexual, fluid, no label, queer, etc.) community.

#Bi Week draws attention to the experiences, while also celebrating the resiliency of, the bisexual community.

They were kind enough to chat with Autostraddle as well.

“I advocate for bisexual youth via social media and do my best to help empower those like me,” said Ellie Peña, a high school senior in Houston.

Relationships such as partners, couples, married or not, should be respected.
